Recently, I've been trying to wake up my creative side. Most of the work on this page was done during Fall 1997, while taking a graphic arts class taught by Carolyn Brown at Foothill College.
This is a Photoshop collage of various photos I took in Xiahe, China, during my trip in 1987.I used Painter for this one, which is called "Dominoes."This is my contribution for the class project involving "alternative worlds." These are my own original photos, manipulated and pasted together using Image Composer. This is my losing entry in the contest for the album cover for an Al Stewart tribute tape created by the Al Stewart Mailing List.
I no longer subscribe to this list because it's time consuming and addictive...
much like creating home pages, I guess! :-)
I used bits and pieces of existing album covers and pasted them together with Image Composer. My instructor said this Illustrator piece is too cute to be taken seriously as art. *sigh*This is my attempt to convey "plain to embellished" using Illustrator. And this is my attempt to convey "calm to extreme anxiety," again using Illustrator. Here's my 1997 holiday greeting! This is my first attempt to use 3-D software: Ray Dream Studio, Poser, and Detailer. Here is the Xiahe collage after I played with it some more. I'm not convinced I improved it, but it was fun.And here is the original version, in color!
