Art Center 1984
During the summer of 1984, I took a bunch of photography classes at the
Art Center in Pasadena.
(Caltech students, even those with little artistic talent, can do that.)
I took essentially the same classes that the incoming "serious photographer" types
were taking. It was a LOT of work.
I'm sure some of my classmates have gone on to become successful photographers; they were quite a talented bunch. Here are a few of my favorite creations from that summer, along with one
remarkably clear photo of my head -- if you look closely, you can see one of my contact lenses!)
My favorites are the Gumby photos. Our assignment was to photograph "friends."
The teacher was not impressed.
